Nothing Phone (3) may get a flagship chip and a new camera

Nothing is preparing to release a Phone (3) smartphone that, contrary to expectations, won’t be a typical mid-ranger. According to insiders, the novelty will get top-end stuffing, including a powerful processor, a redesigned camera and a larger battery.

What’s known about the specs

According to SmartPrix, the Nothing Phone (3) may get a Snapdragon 8 Elite-level Qualcomm chip, a processor comparable in performance to the MediaTek Dimensity 9400e and higher. If this is confirmed, the reported price of around £800 won’t seem so steep anymore.

Besides a powerful processor, the smartphone will offer an upgraded camera system. The main module will be improved, and there could be a move to a larger periscopic telephoto lens.

When it comes to battery life, the Nothing Phone (3) is expected to exceed 5,000 mAh. In comparison, the current Phone (2) has a 4,700 mAh battery with support for 45W fast charging and 15W wireless charging.

OC and release date

The new device will run Nothing OS 3.2, based on Android 15. There’s no official launch date yet, but it’s highly likely that the smartphone will be introduced in July – just like the Nothing Phone (2) two years ago.

Pricing and positioning

Company CEO Carl Pei has previously confirmed that the Nothing Phone (3) will cost around £800. Despite the high price tag for a device without the «Pro» prefix, the leaked specs show: it’s not just a “mid-ranger,” but rather a potential flagship without the extra frills.
