The mobile device market grew 6.5% in the second quarter, reaching total shipments of 285.4 million units. Samsung was the sales leader with an 18.9% market share. Analysts noted the success of flagship models and the development of artificial intelligence features.
Apple (15.8%) came in second place, strengthening its position in China and other key regions. Third place went to Xiaomi (14.8%). Vivo and OPPO shared the fourth place with a market share of 9.1% and 9.0% respectively. Experts forecast further growth in total smartphone shipments through the end of the year and expect intense competition among key market players.
