This year, the Pixel 9 Pro won the award for Smartphone of the Year, confirming its status as one of the best Android flagships. Last year, the same title went to the Pixel 8 Pro, and the 2023 winner was Apple.

The second GLOMO award went to the Google Gemini itself, which is recognized as a winner in the Breakthrough in Innovation category. This category covers both hardware and software advances. Past winners have been Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 (2024) and Apple Satellite SOS (2023). The jury evaluates technologies based on their impact on performance, functionality and usability.
