MWC 2024: Nubia revealed the Nubia Flip 5G smartphone
The popularity of foldable devices is gradually growing and more OEMs are entering the market. The latest example is the Nubia Flip 5G, which was announced at MWC and is the manufacturer’s first foldable phone. Let’s take a closer look at it.
The smartphone features a 6.9-inch foldable OLED display with a resolution of 1188 x 2790 pixels and 120Hz refresh rate. On the back, there’s a 1.43-inch screen with a resolution of 466 x 466 pixels. You can use it to receive calls, control music, and as a notification screen.
The Nubia Flip 5G comes with a dual-rail suspension hinge that can withstand over 200,000 folds (which is more or less the industry standard for devices of this type). On the back of the Flip 5G are a 50 MP main camera and a 2 MP depth sensor. The device also boasts a 16MP front camera and a 4,310mAh battery with 33W charging support.
The device will be priced at just $599 at launch, making it the most affordable foldable smartphone on the market. The company will announce a launch date at a later date.
