Infinix is preparing a new smartphone powered by Snapdragon 7s Gen 4
Ininix has been using MediaTek processors in its smartphones for several years. However, earlier this year, the brand introduced the Infinix Xpad GT tablet equipped with a Snapdragon 888 chip for the global market. Now it has been revealed that Infinix is preparing to release a new Snapdragon-based smartphone — and with a brand new processor that was previously only found in the Chinese version of the Redmi Note 15 Pro+.
According to fresh data, an Infinix device with model number X6878 has appeared in the Geekbench benchmark database. Earlier, the same smartphone was spotted in the European EEC certification database, but no technical details were revealed at that time.
According to the latest data, the Infinix device with model number X6878 has appeared in the Geekbench test database.
Geekbench reports that the device is powered by a Snapdragon chipset with a single 2.71GHz performance core, three 2.40GHz cores, and four 1.80GHz power-efficient cores. The Adreno 810 GPU is responsible for graphics.
Although the exact name of the chip isn’t specified in the database, judging by the specs, we’re talking about the Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 — processor officially unveiled in August this year. In Geekbench 6.5 tests, the device scored 1,232 points in single-core mode and 2,882 points in multi-core mode. Previously, this chip was only used in the Redmi Note 15 Pro+, released in August.
In addition, testing revealed that the smartphone is equipped with 8GB of RAM and runs on Android 16. The final marketing name of the device is not yet known. It’s possible that it could be the Infinix Zero 50 or Note Edge. According to preliminary data, the official announcement of the novelty will take place in November, but the exact markets where it will appear, has not yet been named.
