Huawei Mate 60 RS Ultimate Design officially announced

Huawei and Porsche Design have collaborated on special edition Mate series phones and smartwatches for years, but last year that collaboration ended with the Mate 50 RS Porsche Design. Now Huawei is moving into a new phase of collaboration with the Ultimate Design range, and the Mate 60 RS Ultimate Design is the first device in the new premium lineup.

The Mate 60 RS Ultimate Edition is identical to the Mate 60 Pro+ and features a 6.82-inch LTPO OLED display, Kirin 9000s chipset, 48MP + 48MP + 40MP cameras, and a 5,000mAh battery.

The visual changes are noticeable, with the Mate 60 RS Ultimate getting a ceramic back panel and an octagon-shaped camera island. There’s a choice of red and black with a two-tone finish. The company is also offering free privileges for one year for Mate 60 RS Ultimate Design owners who sign up for a Huawei card.

These include — VIP lounge services at airports and train stations, flight delay insurance, legal advice, equestrian lessons and more. Huawei also sells Star Diamond protective cases in black and red colors that cover the front and back of the Mate 60 RS Ultimate.

Huawei Mate 60 RS Ultimate Design is available in black and red colors. It is priced at $1,641 for the 16/512GB storage variant and $1,778 for the 16GB RAM and 1TB storage variant. Sales in China will start later this month.
