Huawei Mate 60 Pro+ will get 16GB of RAM

Huawei launched the Mate 60 series without too much hype, with two variants already on sale in China. Now the third member of the family — the Mate 60 Pro+ is on its way, and a leak has revealed its memory variants.

The phone will feature 16GB of RAM and two storage options — 512GB or 1TB. According to the same leaker, the starting price could be 8,999 Chinese yuan, which works out to $1,231.

The Huawei Mate 60 Pro+ is expected to be the most powerful phone in the lineup, with a best-in-class quad-camera system on the back packed on a round island. While there won’t be a «Porsche Design» phone anymore, the company is set to release a «RS Ultimate Design» variant with a unique design for those who don’t mind paying extra for even more premium materials.
So far, it’s expected that the Mate 60 Pro+ will be the most powerful phone in the lineup.

The price is no longer shocking, at least in the context of flagships. By comparison, the Mate 50 Pro (the previous series didn’t have Plus) cost £1,200 in the UK or €1,200 in Europe, with just 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage (expandable by another 256GB via an NM memory card).
