Honor introduced the Magic V2 in July, but it’s already ready to release another foldable device. The Magic Vs2 will be officially unveiled on October 12, the brand announced on Weibo, and with it we’ll see the new Watch 4 Pro.

The big event on Thursday will be preceded by a smaller event on October 10, when the Honor Play 50 Plus will be unveiled to Chinese audiences.

The company is expected to unveil the Magic Vs2 as a light update to last year’s Magic Vs. A recent Geekbench benchmark points to a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset and 16GB of RAM. The Vs2 will feature a 50MP main camera, and we wonder if Honor has decided to keep the 50MP ultra-wide-angle and 8MP telephoto cameras.

The Magic Vs2 will obviously benefit from its body — it should be thinner than the Vs model, which already had a pleasingly thin profile of 6.1mm when unfolded. The phone has been certified with 66W wired charging, which is in line with the rest of the Magic V series, and while there’s no change, it’s still a pretty fast charging standard in the world of foldable devices.
