Google unveiled the Pixel 10 smartphone with a new camera and Tensor G5 processor

After a slew of leaks, Google officially announced the Pixel 10 series at the Made by Google event in Brooklyn. The lineup includes the Pixel 10, Pixel 10 Pro, Pixel 10 Pro XL, and the foldable Pixel 10 Pro Fold. For the first time, the base Pixel got a telephoto lens.
The Pixel 10 looks almost identical to its predecessor, but its oval-shaped rear camera module now includes three sensors. The main camera gets 48MP, the ultra-wide-angle module gets 13MP, and a new 10.8MP telephoto lens offers 5x optical zoom. On the front, there’s a 10.5MP camera with autofocus. The wide-angle sensor is more modest than on the Pixel 9.

The smartphone is powered by TSMC’s new 3nm Tensor G5 processor and Titan M2 security chip. The device packs 12GB of RAM and 128GB or 256GB of UFS 4.0 storage.

The Pixel 10’s screen is a 6.3-inch Actua display with a 120Hz refresh rate and Full HD+ resolution. It’s an LTPS matrix that only knows how to switch between 60Hz and 120Hz. Maximum brightness reaches 2,000 nits and protection is provided by Gorilla Glass Victus 2.
The smartphone has an improved ultrasonic in-display fingerprint scanner and is IP68-rated.
Like last year, Google is guaranteeing seven years of OS and security updates. The Pixel 10 comes with Android 16 “out of the box.”

The battery has gotten a bit bigger at 4,970 mAh. Charging supports up to 29W via cable and 15W via the Qi2 standard. The smartphone is also compatible with the new Pixelsnap accessories.
The Pixel 10 is available in four colors: Indigo, Frost, Lemongrass, and Obsidian. Pre-orders are now open. Pricing starts at $799 for the 128GB version and $899 for the 256GB version.
