Opel has unveiled the extreme electric car concept Corsa GSE Vision Gran Turismo

Opel has revealed one of its most daring projects, the Corsa GSE Vision Gran Turismo concept car, which combines video game fantasy with real future technology. The electric car will be available to race in the Gran Turismo 7 simulator and then make its debut at the IAA Mobility 2025 motor show in Munich in September.
The concept is based on a twin-motor all-wheel-drive system. The powertrain has a combined output of 588 kW (800 hp) and 800 Nm of torque. For a compact car such indicators look really impressive: acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h takes only 2 seconds, the maximum speed is 320 km/h. In addition, there is a “boost” mode with a short-term power boost of 59 kW (80 hp), which is restored in 80 seconds.

With a battery capacity of 82 kWh, the car’s weight does not exceed 1,170 kg, thanks to the extensive use of lightweight materials. The concept is based on the STLA Small platform, but unlike the production Corsa, it’s noticeably lower and wider, giving it a powerful, sporty look.
The design of the Opel Corsa GSE Vision Gran Turismo is an aggressive interpretation of the company’s “Bold and Pure” philosophy. The front features a slim “Opel Vizor” panel with an illuminated Blitz logo forming the “Compass” design element. At the rear, a single-piece brake light line stands out. The image is completed by active aerodynamic elements – a spoiler and diffuser that regulate downforce, as well as aero cushions, arch extenders and special wheels that reduce turbulence.

The exterior is done in a three-color scheme: white pearlescent bodywork, black roof and arches, bright yellow accents on the hood and aero parts. The wheels are multi-size: 21 inches in the front and 22 inches in the rear, shod in Goodyear tires. The suspension is equipped with Bilstein shock absorbers.
The interior is minimalist and focused solely on the driver. Traditional displays have been replaced by a projection screen, while a lightweight sports seat with six-point belts and a safety cage provides a secure fit. Integrated sensors monitor blind spots and transmit warnings via luminous fabrics integrated into the interior panels.

Despite its extreme nature, the concept showcases the future of Opel’s GSE lineup of all-electric sports models. The company emphasizes that compact cars can also be high-performance, and the virtual debut in Gran Turismo immediately engages the global community of car enthusiasts with the brand’s future technologies.
