YouTube Music has unveiled AI radio “Ask Music” for iPhone and iPad

The Google company has expanded YouTube Music by adding support for AI radio «Ask Music» on iPhone and iPad. The feature was previously only available on Android, but now it’s coming to iOS (version 8.10+).
How does AI radio work in YouTube Music?
After the update a section «Ask for music» will appear on the YouTube Music homepage. In it, you can select one of 10 suggested requests – based on them, the service will automatically create a personalized radio station.
If the suggested options are not suitable, you can use the Field «Ask any way you like» where you can enter your request in text or voice. YouTube recommends describing mood, activity, or music style – for example, «energetic music for working out» or «calm tunes for reading».
After you enter YouTube Music will create an AI radio in seconds, offering the first three tracks and the option to save the station to your library.

Additional AI Music features
The «Ask Music» feature complements the existing Music Tuner tool. It allows you to select artists and tune your radio station by:
- Diversity of artists
- Degree of musical discovery
- Genre filters
Music Tuner is available in «Library» → Button «New» → «Radio».

Where is the feature available?
For now, «Ask Music» only works with a YouTube Music or Music Premium subscription. It’s available in the USA, Canada, New Zealand, and Australia, but Google promises to expand the list of countries in the future.
