Yandex has incorporated Alice’s technology into Search, expanding its capabilities with a reasoning mode, text and image generation. You can now ask for an illustration, generate text, or figure out a complex topic right in the search bar. The updates expand on the previous Neuro feature and make search more interactive and useful.

New answer format with media and structure

With the help of Alice’s technology, answers in Search have become like mini-articles: they are structured, with subheadings, images, videos, and links to sources. For example, if you search for “what are sea knots,” you get a description of the types with illustrative diagrams and recommendations.

Reasoning mode for deep topic development

The Reasoning feature is useful when working with complex queries, such as calculating the cost of building a house or finding mortgage terms. In this mode, Alice uses more sources, takes longer to analyze data, and can present the result in a table or comparison. The approach to solving the problem is also displayed. Generate text and images in Search

Now users can generate text and images without going to third-party services. Just type in the search box, for example, “write a post about the perks of suburban living” or “make an illustration for a presentation.” Search with Alice will offer ready-made content generated according to the given parameters.

Alice in Search will also tell you how to choose household appliances, electronics or repair goods. By clicking on the “What are the types” button, the user gets structured information about the types of goods, characteristics and applications.
