Spotify launches Offline Backup feature

Spotify has launched a feature that will automatically create a playlist from cached tracks in case you don’t have internet access. This will allow users to enjoy music even without internet. Of course, this feature will only be available if you have Premium connected.

You can filter and sort the songs in your playlist by artist, mood and genre, and the Offline Backup feature will evolve as you listen, so it’ll always have something new to offer.

So when you’re in a no-signal zone, you’ll always have something to listen to, even if you forget to download some playlists in advance. Offline backup doesn’t use any additional data or storage because it works with already cached tracks.

The new feature is available to Spotify Premium users worldwide on Android and iOS. It will automatically appear in your Home feed any time you’re offline. For it to appear, you’ll need to enable offline listening and listen to more than five songs. You can also add Offline Backup to your library so you can easily find it any other time.
