1. No Limit means Edge will use all available RAM when needed.
2. Minimum limitation (8GB) – allows you to leave enough memory for other applications.
3. Moderate limitation (6 GB) – suitable for users who do not need a lot of free RAM.
4. Aggressive limitation (4 GB) – helps to drastically reduce RAM usage.
5. The most aggressive limitation (2GB) is for those who want to optimize their system to the maximum and free up memory.

Microsoft also offers separate settings that allow users to apply a specified memory limit only in certain cases. For example, you can set a limit on RAM usage only during games, or you can set it to be permanent. This provides additional flexibility and allows users to manage system resources based on their needs.

It’s currently unknown when exactly this feature will be available in the stable version of the browser. However, the introduction of this option promises to significantly improve the usability and performance of Microsoft Edge, as well as improve the experience for users who are actively using multiple tabs and applications at the same time.
