Alice AI in Yandex Go launched in beta mode for the first users

Alice AI has become available in the Yandex Go app in beta testing format and allows you to manage city services through a single chat – from ordering a cab to grocery delivery.

The beta testing of Alice AI has begun in Yandex Go. The neural network helps users solve everyday tasks in city services by independently determining the right scenario and connecting AI agents Taxi, Food, Shop or Delivery. The first users can already try out the new format of interaction, and in the future it will be available to everyone.

Alice AI works as a single point of entry for different Yandex Go services. The user formulates a task in free form, after which the neural network selects a suitable service and passes the request to the profile agent. This approach allows using the capabilities of several services in one dialog. Yandex Go has become one of the first city superapps in the world with its own multi-agent system.

How Alice AI works in Yandex Go

Get into a chat with Alice AI from the app’s home screen by tapping the “Find with Alice AI” button. After that, the user can immediately formulate a query – without manually selecting the service and switching between tabs.

For example, for the query “Find carrots for soup,” Alice AI connects the LaVka agent, which picks up food options ranging from fresh vegetables to frozen or ready-to-use. The request “I want to send a cake to Grandma” is passed to the Delivery agent: it clarifies details, suggests suitable terms, and automatically fills out the order form, leaving only the final confirmation to the user.

To search for establishments, the neural network also works in a single chat. If a user writes “Find a restaurant where to eat pizza with anchovies in Tversky district”, Alice AI generates a list of restaurants with photos, brief descriptions and addresses.

Multiple scenarios in one request

Alice AI can suggest different ways to solve a single task by connecting multiple AI agents at once. For example, for the query “I want tomato soup with shrimp for lunch”, the neural network contacts the agents of the Shop and Food. As a result, the user receives alternative options: a recipe with ingredients available for ordering, or a selection of restaurants with suitable dishes.

The neural network also helps in situations where no choice has yet been made. If a user is undecided, Alice AI acts as a personal consultant and suggests options based on their preferences and previous requests.

Voice control and additional features

You can communicate with Alice AI in Yandex Go not only by text, but also by voice. This is useful in a hurry – for example, when ordering a cab, sending a parcel, or making a grocery list for a holiday dinner.

Yandex Go users have access to other Alice AI features already familiar from the Alice AI app and Search. You can ask the neural network to find a service or place in a city, check the weather forecast before you leave the house, or get background information, such as seasonal tire storage or children’s skating rinks with trial classes.
