Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 announcement date for Android smartphones has been revealed

The processor is scheduled to debut on April 2, 2025. Despite the lack of official specs, insiders have already shared information. The SoC, which is built using TSMC’s 4nm technology, is expected to have an eight-core CPU with the following configuration:

- 1 x Cortex-X4 (3.21 GHz);
- 3 x Cortex-A720 (3.01 GHz);
- 2 x Cortex-A720 (2.8 GHz);
- 2 x Cortex-A720 (2.02 GHz);
Graphics will be handled by the Adreno 825 integrated gas pedal, which is a simplified version of the Adreno 830 used in the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4. Preliminary tests in AnTuTu show a score of over 2 million points, which places the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 between the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 and Gen 3 in Qualcomm’s processor lineup. The first smartphones to get the new chip are expected to be the Redmi Turbo 4 Pro, iQOO Z10 Turbo Pro, Xiaomi Civi 5 Pro and OPPO K13 Pro.
