Qualcomm unveiled the Snapdragon 6s Gen 4 chip with improved performance
Qualcomm has unveiled its new mid-range Snapdragon 6s Gen 4 processor. It gets several improvements over the previous 6s Gen 3 model, including a more powerful CPU and GPU, as well as support for 144Hz FHD+ displays, 5G networks (mmWave and sub-6GHz), and Wi-Fi 6E.
Snapdragon 6s Gen 4 (SM6435-AA) is manufactured using Samsung’s 4nm process. The company claims a 36 percent increase in processor performance and a 59 percent increase in graphics gas pedal power. The Kryo processor consists of four performance cores up to 2.4GHz and four power-efficient cores at 1.8GHz.

The graphics module supports HDR gaming and is compatible with OpenGL ES 3.2, OpenCL 2.0 FP and Vulkan 1.1. It also features Snapdragon Elite Gaming features such as Variable Rate Shading (VRS) and Game Quick Touch for a smoother gaming experience.

The Qualcomm Spectra ISP supports cameras with up to 200 megapixels and 2K video recording at 30fps.
The Snapdragon 6s Gen 4 also gets support for Snapdragon Sound, Bluetooth 5.4 and Qualcomm Quick Charge 4+.
