MediaTek Dimensity 9400+ comes out April 11 – increased frequencies and new devices

MediaTek has officially announced the launch date for the Dimensity 9400+ – April 11. The chip will debut at the Dimensity Developer Conference to be held in Shenzhen, China.
Dimensity 9400+ will retain the architecture of the standard version, but will get a clock speed boost. The flagship Cortex-X925 core will be overclocked to 3.7GHz (instead of 3.62GHz), and three additional Cortex-X4 cores will run at 3.30GHz. The four power-efficient Cortex-A720s now run at 2.4GHz versus 2.0GHz on the original 9400. The ARM Immortalis G925 MP12 ARM Immortalis G925 is still responsible for graphics.

The chip has already appeared in the Geekbench database, confirming the claimed specs. It scored 2,770 in the single-core test and 8,500 in the multi-core test. That’s an increase of 6% and 5% respectively compared to the Dimensity 9400, which scored 2605 and 8078 points.

After the announcement, several manufacturers are preparing to release devices on the new chip. According to leaks, they include:
– Oppo Find X8S and Find X8S+
– Vivo X200S
– The flagship of the iQOO Neo series, probably the iQOO Neo 10S Pro
– The flagship of the Realme GT series, probably the Realme Neo 7 Pro
– OnePlus Ace 5S
– Redmi K80 Ultra
Find X8S, Find X8S+ and Vivo X200S are expected in China as early as April, iQOO Neo 10S Pro could be released in May. Realme, OnePlus and Redmi also plan to unveil their models in the first half of the year.
