Insiders revealed the specifications of two Ryzen 9050 processors at once

An unofficial copy of AMD’s 144-page document has surfaced online, providing information about two upcoming processors based on the Zen 5 architecture. The leak revealed the detailed specifications of the chips, as well as the date of their expected market introduction.
One of the processors, called Ryzen 9050 from the Strix Halo family, will have 16 cores (32 threads), 16MB of L2 cache and 32MB of “gaming” L3 cache, according to the documentation. It will also feature a dedicated neuromodule (NPU) with up to 60 trillion operations per second (TOPS) performance. In addition, the processor will have integrated graphics based on RDNA 3.5. The chip is expected to be on the market in 2025.

The other model, the Ryzen 9050 from the Strix Point lineup, will have 12 cores (24 threads), 12MB of L2 and 24MB of L3 cache, and an NPU with up to 50 TOPS performance. This processor is expected to be released in 2024, probably in the last quarter.
