Computex 2025: Intel reveals Panther Lake processors – launching in early 2026

18A process, powerful graphics, and advanced AI, Intel is betting on the next generation.

At the Computex 2025 show in Taipei Intel s first demonstration of laptops based on the Panther Lake Core Ultra 300 -its first chips built on the 18A process. Unlike January’s demonstration at CES, where the chips simply ran, they now performed real-world tasks, from rendering to AI applications.

Intel confirmed that mass production of Panther Lake will begin in the second half of 2025, with a full retail launch planned for early 2026.

What’s known about Panther Lake

The Panther Lake processors will combine the power efficiency of Lunar Lake with the performance of Arrow Lake-H. A chip crystal was presented at the booth, where the placement of CPU, GPU, I/O and SoC blocks can be seen. According to leaks, the architecture includes Cougar Cove (P-core) and Darkmont (E-core) cores.

  • 18A process – key to Intel’s strategy to regain technology leadership;
  • Integrated Xe3 graphics (presumably) with XMX blocks, close in level to Lunar Lake;
  • Support for Device-level AI functions without cloud processing.
