Chery revealed an android girl for home and car showroom – Mornine

Chery, known as a car manufacturer, has unveiled a humanoid robot called Mornine. The novelty will work as a consultant in branded car dealerships, and in the future, the developers assure, can become a “caring member of the family.”

The Mornine’s “brain” is based on a large language model. The proprietary artificial intelligence understands speech, is able to answer questions and process both written and voice commands. A face made of biomimetic silicone material has been used to enhance the robot’s user experience. This allows Mornine to mimic human facial expressions, such as moving its lips, smiling and expressing surprise.

The robot is capable of traveling at speeds of up to 4 km/h thanks to electric motors and a built-in battery. The new product was unveiled ahead of the opening of the Beijing International Motor Show. The company will reveal more details at the event, but the basic plans for the Mornine are already known.

The robot is capable of traveling at speeds of up to one kilometer per hour thanks to its electric motors and built-in battery.

First, Chery plans to integrate the robot into its car dealerships. Mornine has a deep knowledge of Chery cars, so it can advise customers and have “casual conversations” with them. In the future, it will learn to navigate the room and show customers the way.

The third “transformation” will bring in household functions: Mornine will be able to help with cooking and teaching children, as well as home and elderly care. According to Chery, at this stage the Mornine will “take on the role of a caring family member.”

Chery said.

The commercial release date and cost of the humanoid robot has not yet been announced.
