Bosgame announced a compact PC for AI professionals

Bosgame has unveiled the new M5 AI mini PC, a new compact PC designed specifically for developers, creators and AI professionals. The device is based on the latest AMD Ryzen AI Max+ 395 processor, which is built on the Zen 5 architecture and includes 16 cores and 32 threads. The built-in AMD XDNA 2 NPU neural network provides up to a 50% increase in AI performance over previous solutions, allowing large language models such as Llama 3 in LM Studio to be run efficiently. The company claims the M5 is capable of delivering 2.2 times the AI performance of the Nvidia RTX 4090.

The mini-PC doesn’t have a discrete graphics card – instead, it uses integrated Radeon 8060S graphics based on RDNA 3 architecture. It has 40 processing units and delivers performance close to Nvidia’s RTX 4070. The system features 128GB of 8533MHz LPDDR5X RAM and a 2TB PCIe Gen4 SSD, expandable via a second M.2 slot.

The chassis is made of aluminum and has a compact size, making it convenient for use in tight spaces. The rear panel features HDMI 2.1 and DisplayPort 1.4 ports for up to 8K resolution at 60Hz, as well as SDXC, USB-A and USB-C card slots for peripheral connectivity. Bluetooth 5.2 and WiFi 6e are available for wireless connectivity.

The device has an introductory price of $1699, and shipments will begin worldwide as early as June 10. Bosgame is positioning the M5 AI mini PC as a powerful solution for those who need high computing power in a small footprint, making it an attractive choice for artificial intelligence and new technology development professionals.
