Asus introduced Hyper M.2 x16 Gen5 card for mounting four SSDs

AsUS has launched the Hyper M.2 x16 Gen5 expansion card, which supports up to four NVMe M.2 (2242/2260/2280/22110) devices at up to 512Gbps for RAID functions on various processor platforms.

Asus has equipped the expansion card with a 6-pin PCIe power connector and dual-phase power, up to 14W to support the latest NVMe drives.

The cooling system (fan and shroud) draws air through the M.2 card slots so it exits the large perforated mounting bracket.

The ASUS Hyper M.2 x16 Gen5 card will soon be available for $79 ($8,000 USD).
