Amazon has unveiled Astro for Business, a robotic guardian robot
By ForGeeks Technology giant Amazon has unveiled an updated version of its popular Astro robot designed specifically for enterprise customers. The Astro for Business is designed for watchdog tasks and has the ability to monitor even large warehouses of up to 465 square meters.

Astro for Business relies heavily on artificial intelligence capabilities that allow it to recognize faces, create maps of the area to determine the most efficient patrol routes, and alert you to potential problems. What’s more, the robot has a camera with night vision.
According to the company’s statement, this “electronic watchman” has been successfully tested in real-world conditions and has demonstrated its high effectiveness in detecting blind spots that are not covered by conventional video surveillance systems. The device is capable of transmitting real-time images, allowing you to monitor the situation in your facility or warehouse.
The Astro for Business costs $2,350 (209,000 rubles) on Amazon’s official website. This amount also includes a trial period of a 4-month subscription to Ring Protect (further $20/month — 1,778 rubles/month). Additionally, Astro Secure plans are available for $60/month (5,336 rubles) and Virtual Security Guard for an additional $99/month (8,800 rubles), offering various features and functions such as autonomous patrols and personalized routes. There are also alerts for smoke, carbon monoxide leaks or recognizing the sound of breaking glass.
