Syberia Remastered will be released on PC and consoles in late 2025

The classic adventure game is getting a complete visual and mechanical update.
Publisher Microids, in partnership with Virtuallyz Gaming and Microids Studio Paris, has announced Syberia Remastered – a modern version of Benoit Sokal’s iconic quest. The project will be released on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series and PC (Steam) in the fourth quarter of 2025.

More than 20 years after the original release, players will meet again with Kate Walker, a New York lawyer traveling to a snowy village in the French Alps to handle the sale of an old automaton factory. A routine assignment turns into a deep and emotional journey through Eastern Europe, where the heroine enters mysterious and forgotten places, encounters unusual characters, and follows the trail of inventor Hans Voralberg as he seeks to find the last living mammoths on the mythical island of Siberia.

Syberia Remastered will offer completely revamped graphics in a modern 3D execution, a redesigned interface, improved navigation and customized controls. It retains the original atmosphere, poetic visual style and meditative storytelling.

One of the key new features will be improved mechanical puzzles. They have been redesigned to be more intuitive and comfortable to play through, but still retain their important role in revealing Voralberg’s story. The developers have also updated each location by hand, paying attention to detail and retaining Sokal’s artwork.
The remaster will be a new way to experience the first installment in the series, as well as adding to the universe already featured in Syberia: The World Before and Amerzone: The Explorer’s Legacy.
