Football Manager developer Sports Interactive Studios has signed a multi-year agreement with FIFA. The partnership will add official FIFA tournaments to the game, including the World Cup, Women’s World Cup and Club World Cup.

Football Manager 26 will feature the 2026 World Cup, with official uniforms for all 48 national teams (once approved), official TV graphics and tournament design.

The game will focus solely on club management at the time of release on November 4. National team management will be temporarily unavailable, with the exception of the FM26 Mobile version on Netflix. However, Sports Interactive has already confirmed that a redesigned national team management module will appear in an update next year, before the 2026 World Cup kicks off.

Football Manager 26 will come in four versions. The main PC version will launch on November 4 on Steam, Epic Games Store and Microsoft Store, and will also be available on PC Game Pass. A simplified Football Manager 26 Console version will be released the same day on PS5, Xbox Series X/S and Xbox One and will be included in Xbox Game Pass Ultimate. Football Manager 26 Touch, adapted for touch devices, will be released on Apple Arcade on November 4, while the Nintendo Switch version will be available on December 4. The Football Manager 26 Mobile version will be available to Netflix users and will be an updated version of last year’s FM24 Mobile, remaining on the old engine without the switch to Unity.

The previous installment in the series, Football Manager 2024, was released in November 2023. After numerous delays, Football Manager 25 was canceled in February 2025 — the developers said they would focus on the new game. FM26 will be the studio’s first project on the Unity engine, and the first game in the series to feature an official Premier League license and the addition of women’s soccer.
