Yandex has started selling a smart IP camera for home

View video and control via Alice
The camera supports real-time video and audio streaming, and sends a notification to your smartphone when motion or a person is detected. The device integrates into the Smart Home with Alice ecosystem – just add the camera to the app and connect to Wi-Fi. The video can be viewed on your phone, Yandex Station or Duo Max Station. Viewing is triggered by a voice command: “Alice, show me the video from the camera.”
The IP camera is compatible with smart home scenarios. For example, the command “Alice, we’re gone” can turn off the air conditioner and turn on video surveillance. Notifications are triggered when a person, movement or noise is detected in the room.
The camera shoots at resolutions up to 2K QHD, which ensures crisp images on large screens. The lens covers a 103° angle, and the swivel mechanism allows you to rotate the device 350°, covering the entire room. Night mode is activated in the dark.
Video recording to card and cloud
Recordings can be saved either to a memory card or to cloud storage – the latter option is available with a subscription. The “Standard” subscription allows you to store video for up to 7 days, set up motion detection-free zones, and activate the camera to follow a person. “Extra” adds motion snapshot sending and extends the storage period to 30 days.
You can subscribe on the Home with Alice app. It costs 299 rubles a month for the Standard version and 699 rubles for the Extra version. You can use the subscription for free for the first month.
Privacy and camera control
Privacy mode is activated by voice (“Alice, turn on privacy mode”), through the app, or by a predefined script – for example, after the command “Alice, I’m home.” In this mode, the camera turns off and turns the lens away. There’s also a “Mute” button on the body that mutes the microphone and deactivates video recording.
