XREAL 1S – the world’s first AR glasses with automatic video conversion from 2D to 3D

XREAL is rounding out 2025 with a new base model of AR glasses, the XREAL 1S. The device occupies a niche below the XREAL One Pro, introduced in the summer, and was the first product in the category that can automatically convert regular 2D video to 3D.

Displays and optics
The glasses weigh 82 grams and feature two 0.68-inch Sony OLED microdisplays with 1920×1200 resolution per eye and up to 120Hz.
In auto 2D-to-3D conversion mode, refresh rates are limited to 30 Hz, but the manufacturer claims a stable visual experience thanks to a 52° viewing angle, up to 700 nits of brightness, and ΔE < 3 color accuracy.
The proprietary XREAL X1 chip is responsible for the core computing. According to the company, it provides a latency of 3ms, which is important for the supported 3DoF mode – the virtual screen remains fixed in space when the head moves.
XREAL product manager Takao Takayama clarified that the 3D conversion feature will also appear on the existing XREAL One and One Pro models with an update planned in time for the 1S launch.

Audio, light control and bundling
The glasses use an audio system customized by Bose. Four microphones are provided. Light transmission is automatically adjusted and can be switched between 0%, 35% and 100% levels, allowing you to choose the degree of isolation from your surroundings. The model is available in Silent Blue.
XREAL Neo accessory
At the same time, XREAL introduced the XREAL Neo external battery designed specifically for use with AR devices. It will go on sale at the end of January at a price of 14,580 yen.
Neo features a 10,000mAh battery, two USB-C ports, and is capable of streaming video to AR glasses and charging a smartphone at the same time. An unusual feature is the ability to use the accessory as a docking station for the Nintendo Switch and Switch 2.
Kit Price
XREAL is offering a bundle including the 1S glasses and Neo battery for 76,560 yen – that’s about 6,000 yen cheaper than buying it individually. First-time buyers will also receive the XREAL Hub as a pre-order bonus.
