Xiaomi has launched a smart surveillance camera – Solar Outdoor Camera BW400 Pro
By ForGeeks Xiaomi has unveiled the Solar Outdoor Camera BW400 Pro — a new surveillance camera that can operate during power outages. It features a night shooting function and the ability to recognize objects thanks to unique AI algorithms.
The device has IP66 protection and is equipped with a 10,000mAh battery as well as a solar panel. The camera has a 4-megapixel image sensor with a wide angle of view (132°) and infrared “spotlights” for video recording in the dark. It’s also equipped with four traditional LEDs.
The camera automatically detects the presence of people, animals, vehicles and packages left behind by couriers thanks to a dedicated NPU. It also features two-way voice communication, HDR support and Google Assistant. It comes with a wireless docking station for saving recordings to memory cards up to 256GB.
The camera has already appeared on Xiaomi’s global website, which makes us expect it to be available not only in the Chinese market. No launch date or price for the new device has been announced yet.
