Xiaomi unveiled a 5000 mAh ultra-thin magnetic powerbank with wireless charging
By ForGeeks Xiaomi has launched a new 5000 mAh ultra-thin magnetic powerbank (model WPB0507S) in China. The device is already available for purchase on JD.com and other online marketplaces at a price of 169 yuan, which is equivalent to about $23. The novelty stands out with support for wireless charging up to 7.5W and a slim body that’s only 8.7mm thick.
Compact body, high energy density and long-lasting battery
To reduce the size while maintaining capacity, Xiaomi has used a high energy density battery based on lithium cobalt oxide. The density has reached 734Wh/L, which is 12.9% higher than the previous generation. The company claims that the battery retains more than 80% of its initial capacity even after 300 charge cycles.

Wired and wireless charging – simultaneously
The device supports charging two devices at once: via the wired USB-C port and wirelessly. Wired charging reaches up to 22.5W, wireless charging up to 15W (5W, 7.5W, 10W and 15W levels are supported). The powerbank features 17 N52 magnets that provide up to 10 Newtons of bonding force – enough to securely connect to MagSafe-compatible iPhones and other devices.
Premium materials and attention to detail
The body is made of sandblasted and diamond polished aluminum alloy. The magnetic side is covered with a vacuum textured fiberglass panel. The edges are G3 rounded, and the case features laser engraved LED indicators.
Safety and heat dissipation at the highest level
A dual NTC temperature sensor is installed inside, checking the battery status up to 12,000 times per minute. An 826mm² heat-conducting graphene plate is responsible for efficient cooling. The device is protected by nine levels of safety, including overvoltage, overheating, short-circuit and overcharge protection.
Size, weight and color options
The Powerbank measures 102×69.6×8.7mm and is rated at 19.35Wh of energy – enough to pass international requirements for airplane transportation. The device comes in four colors: blue, black, purple and gold.
