Xgimi introduced a compact laser backlit projector

Chinese company Xgimi has officially announced the new Z6X Pro Tri-Color Laser Edition projector, a model that combines high performance with a compact form factor. The device is already available for pre-order on JD.com for 2,699 yuan (about $374), and sales are scheduled to start on May 15 at 8 p.m. Beijing time.
Bright image and accurate color reproduction
The projector uses a tri-color laser light source with a brightness of 910 CVIA lumens (or 950 ISO), providing a rich and realistic image. It supports Full HD 1080p resolution, 1600:1 static contrast ratio and 110% BT.2020 color space coverage. HDR Vivid technology enhances color fidelity and image depth.
Powerful stuffing and intelligent picture processing
An octa-core HiSilicon processor, similar to those used in Huawei’s smart displays, is installed inside. It’s paired with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. It also uses Mali-G52 graphics to deliver smooth video, MEMC support, AI image correction and dynamic contrast adaptation depending on the scene.

Harman Kardon sound and a portable case
The projector features 7-watt Harman Kardon stereo speakers enhanced with the HoonSound audio engine. The sound supports Dolby Audio and is capable of delivering surround and clear sound without the need to connect an external speaker.
The body of the device is designed as a foldable «book», weighs just 1.28 kg and is 75 mm thick. With a built-in swivel arm that can be angled up to 150°, the projector can be easily pointed at a ceiling, wall or slanted surface. There’s automatic keystone correction and autofocus across the entire image frame.
Sockets, interfaces and connectivity
Z6X Pro features HDMI (ARC-enabled), USB and DC ports, dual-band Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 5.1. The projector runs the GMUI 6.0 shell, supports voice commands, AirPlay and DLNA wireless streaming, and built-in streaming services. Power consumption is 65W and fan noise is 28dB or less at a distance of one meter.
Potential Global Release
The new model looks similar to the international version of the Elfin Flip, but features a larger size and higher brightness. There is a possibility that the Z6X Pro will hit the global market later this year as an improved version of the Elfin Flip.
