VK is making a new VK Capsule Pro
By ForGeeks VK plans to release a version of its “VK Capsule” smart speaker in the upper price category this year. The VK Capsule Pro is likely to be in the price range of 15,000 to 20,000 rubles. The launch is scheduled for June 2024 according to insider reports. The speaker will have to have smart home sensors built into it, it’s not clear yet if it will be Zigbee or some other protocol. There are no other details or images of the speaker’s exterior yet.
Another detail or image of the speaker’s appearance is not yet available.
A source with close ties to VK claims that the development of the new gadget is well underway. According to him, the new product will be equipped with smart home control features, including built-in temperature, humidity, and light sensors, as well as an occupancy sensor that triggers when a person is detected. Previously, these features required the purchase of separate sensors and connecting them to the device, but now all the necessary sensors will be built into the device.
VK has not yet confirmed or commented in any way on the release of the devices. VK has increased its share of the smart device market and sold 40% more gadgets in 2023 than it did in 2022. The company now has three speakers in its portfolio: the VK Capsule, the VK Capsule Mini (read review) and the VK Capsule Neo.
