Bose QuietComfort Ultra headphones and QuietComfort Ultra Earbuds leaked

Sony’s WH-1000XM5 and WF-1000XM5 headphones are about to get some competition from Bose, one of the largest and oldest noise-canceling manufacturers. The new QuietComfort Ultra headphones and QuietComfort Ultra Earbuds have been leaked today.

The two devices will be available in black and white. The QuietComfort Ultra headphones will feature physical buttons for music playback and volume control, doing away with Sony’s touch-sensitive gestures. Unsurprisingly, the headphones feature a USB-C port. The headphones will replace the Bose QuietComfort Earbuds II in the market with soft tips. The design will be similar to that of its predecessor.

According to a recent report, the QuietComfort Ultra headphones will be priced at 499.95 euros and the QuietComfort Ultra Earbuds — 349.95 euros. Also not shown but also featured are the QuietComfort Earbuds (not the Ultra), which will cost €399.95 in black, white (Cloud White) and green (Cypress Green) and will presumably lack some of the features of the higher-priced versions.

For comparison, we note that Sony’s WH-1000XM5 headphones were released last year at a price of 419 euros, and the WF-1000XM5 headphones — at a price of 319 euros. Thus, Bose products will cost more, but let’s hope it’s not just about brand awareness. The new headphones are expected to be officially unveiled next month.
