Sony has launched a beta of an upcoming update with improvements to DualSense functionality

Sony has begun beta testing a software update for the PlayStation 5, available to a limited number of users. The key new feature is an overall improvement to the DualSense controller, with significant changes to the device’s operation that every user will undoubtedly appreciate.

The built-in microphone and speaker of the DualSense and DualSense Edge controllers have been improved. The speakers have increased volume, and the microphone’s noise canceling works better thanks to artificial intelligence. In Share Screen mode, users can leave their reactions in the form of emoji, pointers and other symbols. A separate option has been added to the console menu with a brightness setting with multiple options to work with. Players were thanked for their interest in the console updates, but the release date for the new features has not yet been announced. The exact release date of the public version of the update is not yet specified, as during the beta test there may be bugs that require time to fix. The update is expected to be released in the next few months.
