Onleaks and Smartprix present new renders of the OnePlus V Fold smartphone

Onleaks and Smartprix published new renderings of the first foldable smartphone from OnePlus, called OnePlus V Fold. According to a report from Smartprix, the renders were created based on a prototype in the testing phase, and are generally very close to the final design. Despite possible changes in the design, we can already say that the device is not a copy of the Oppo Find N2, as some have speculated.
We can already say that the device is not a copy of the Oppo Find N2.

One of the OnePlus V Fold variants, judging by the renders, will have a faux-leather-covered back panel. The back will have a round camera unit with three sensors, including a periscope, and a Hasselblad logo. The flash will be outside of the unit and placed in the corner of the back cover. There will be a branded mode switch button on one of the side edges, and the power button will also function as a fingerprint scanner.

The front of the device will deal with a large foldable screen with thin bezels. The smartphone will also have an external screen with a cutout for a selfie camera. Another selfie camera will be built into the main display. In the images, the device looks very thin.

The specs information suggests that the smartphone is equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 2 processor. The main screen is expected to be AMOLED (LTPO) with a resolution of 2K and refresh rate of 120 Hz. The 50MP main camera (Sony IMX890) will have a periscope and an ultra-wide-angle lens. The front camera will have 32MP resolution (OmniVision OV32C). However, it is not clear in which notch this sensor will be placed. The battery capacity will be 4800 mAh with SuperVOOC 100W charging support.

OnePlus V Fold will be introduced this year.
