Sharp has unveiled the Aquos MiniLED JP7000 series: bright 4K TVs with Quantum Dot and Google TV
Sharp has unveiled its new Aquos MiniLED JP7000 line of 4K TVs, which will be available later this month. The series includes models with diagonals of 50, 55, 65 and 75 inches. The company has not yet disclosed the price.
The TVs are based on —MiniLED backlighting with hundreds of LEDs divided into zones of localized dimming. This approach improves contrast: bright and dark areas are adjusted separately, enhancing picture quality in both bright and dark rooms. An additional QLED Quantum Dot layer improves color accuracy and extends color gamut, covering most of the DCI-P3 and BT.2020 standards. Viewers experience richer hues and smoother transitions, Sharp says.

The series supports Dolby Vision and HDR10. Dolby Vision uses dynamic metadata to optimize brightness and color reproduction for each frame, helping to preserve detail in mixed-light scenes. The Aquos Smooth Motion feature reduces blurring in dynamic scenes, although the refresh rate is limited to 60Hz. The TVs have an almost frameless design and are mounted on a central aluminum stand.
The sound system has been customized with Harman Kardon and includes two 12W speakers. Dolby Atmos surround sound is supported. Connectivity includes HDMI with eARC, USB, dual-band Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.
The TVs run Google TV. Popular services — Netflix, YouTube, Google Play Movies & TV, Prime Video are pre-installed. The built-in Google Assistant allows you to search for content, control playback and execute smart home commands. You can also control the TV through the Google TV app, which is convenient for text input and navigation. Google Cast support lets you stream videos, photos and apps from your smartphone, tablet or laptop.
Sharp is positioning the Aquos MiniLED JP7000 series as an affordable upgrade for users who want higher brightness, improved color reproduction and advanced smart capabilities.
