Sber unveiled a smart ring for health monitoring

It is the first Russian smart ring equipped with artificial intelligence that helps users monitor key body indicators and adjust their lifestyle.

The ring’s main innovation is the integration of a neural network model GigaChat MAX from Sber. The artificial intelligence is able to analyze user data and engage in meaningful dialogue, providing personalized recommendations. Applications include health, physical activity and sleep quality, making the ring not only a monitoring device but also a counseling device.

Design and materials
The form factor of the ring was chosen for a reason: it provides the most accurate readings by fitting snugly against the skin, especially in the finger area where blood vessels are closest. The device is made of wear-resistant, hypoallergenic materials and weighs only 5 grams, which makes it convenient for constant wear, including sleep. The ring works without charging for up to 7 days and is available in several colors: matte gray, matte black, and chrome versions.
How Sber’s smart ring works
The ring is equipped with sensors that measure:
- heart rate,
- body temperature,
- blood oxygen level (saturation),
- physical activity and movement.
This data is converted into key metrics such as sleep quality, stress levels, physical activity and overall body resource. Special attention is paid to sleep, as the device system considers it the most important parameter affecting health and productivity.

The “resource” metric assesses the body’s regenerative abilities, resistance to strain and stress. All data is visualized in a user-friendly mobile app, and GigaChat MAX’s artificial intelligence provides tips on how to improve lifestyle and well-being.
Scientific Approach
The creation of the device was based on a deep scientific basis. More than a hundred studies were conducted on professional medical equipment with the participation of experts in the field of somnology and physiology. This allowed us to develop precise algorithms that reliably measure sleep duration and quality, as well as other parameters.
The GigaChat MAX artificial intelligence has been trained on medical data and has passed the 2024 Medical Specialty Exam, confirming its reliability in data analysis and recommendations.
