Samsung has introduced an expensive smartphone charger – EP-T5020
By ForGeeks Samsung is known for its controversial charging decisions: it was one of the first companies to stop including adapters in smartphones, it doesn’t equip flagships with fast chargers, and now it’s taken another unusual step. A Samsung charger has appeared on the shelves, and it’s astonishing in its price and features.
The Samsung EP-T5020 adapter has two Type-C ports and delivers a peak power of 50W, and when two devices are connected, the power on each port is 25W. However, the cost of this adapter is as much as 69 euros (6,810 rubles). By comparison, even GaN adapters are sold cheaper: for example, a 65-watt dual-port charger can be purchased for 50 euros (4,935 rubles).
This new charger was reported by German insider Roland Quandt. It’s not yet known if it will appear in other countries’ markets.
