Samsung prepares to launch Ballie smart home robot with Google Gemini

The company has been working on the project since 2020, first unveiling the concept at CES in the form of a spherical robot that can roll around the house, record video and respond to voice commands.
The Ballie has evolved considerably since then. Today, Samsung says the device will get built-in support for Google Cloud AI services, including the Gemini model. This will give the robot the ability to engage in live dialogue, recognize its surroundings, and adapt to the user’s needs.

In a promo video released by Samsung, the robot demonstrates how it cares for its occupants by offering a child a cartoon, reminding adults to dress warmly, and helping them get ready for work and school.
