Meizu unveiled AR glasses, a smart ring and announced a car

Chinese company Meizu held a conference where it unveiled new gadgets. Among them are two models of AR glasses and a smart ring. The company also announced the release of the DreamCar MX.

The flagship MYVU Discovery glasses are made of a technical alloy of aircraft-grade magnesium and aluminum. They weigh just 71 grams. Inside the glasses is a Snapadrgon W5+ Gen 1 processor, a micro-LED display with up to 2000 nits of brightness, as well as microphones, 0.5mm thick in-line speakers, and the Flyme AR operating system. You can use these glasses to use navigation, make calls, watch videos, listen to music, track physical activity and more. The working time is up to 8 hours. The price of the glasses is 9,999 yuan (125,000 rubles).

Also available is a base model of MYVU AR glasses that weighs just 43 grams and is the lightest in its class. These glasses feature a green monochrome display and have similar features to the Discovery version. The price of this model is 2,499 yuan (31,200 rubles).

The MYVU Ring smart ring lets you control Meizu’s AR glasses with finger movements. It’s made of ceramic and stainless steel, and is IPX7 water-resistant.

In addition, Meizu announced the DreamCar MX car in partnership with Chinese car manufacturer Geely. So far, only the smart features are known, but details won’t be known until 2024.
