Keychron introduced the Q5 HE keyboard with innovative features and multi-level customizations

Keychron, one of the leading designers and manufacturers of productivity peripherals, has announced its newest keyboard, the Q5 HE. It’s a magnetic wasp keyboard that supports three connection modes and offers extensive customization options. Let’s take a closer look at it.
Connectivity and Performance
Q5 HE offers a three-mode connectivity system, allowing users to easily switch between 2.4 GHz wireless, Bluetooth, and wired connectivity.
At the center of the keyboard is a unique magnetic axis developed by Keychron. This technology is designed to improve key stability and actuation accuracy. The company claims it outperforms traditional mechanical keyboards by offering a response time (RT) of just 0.1mm.
In addition, the Q5 HE allows you to customize up to four different trigger points for each key. This means that pressing a key to a certain depth can activate a specific command.

Wireless performance and mode switching
For users who prefer wireless connectivity, the Q5 HE utilizes a specially designed wireless solution with a latency of only 3ms, which aims to provide a near-wired experience. The keyboard features Gateron switches with Nebula magnetic axis and a dual-track design for increased stability and minimized key backlash.
Multifunctional customization and web driver
Customization isn’t just limited to hardware. The Q5 HE features an in-house developed web driver that allows users to fine-tune the keyboard’s various functions. These customizations include adjusting the magnetic axis travel of the keys, setting up quick triggers, and even joystick simulation. Importantly, the web-based driver eliminates the need to manually download drivers and install them, and firmware updates occur online in real time.

Structure and noise isolation
The Q5 HE’s design takes into account not only looks, but also soundproofing. The keyboard is made of 6063 aluminum anodized black and powder coated white, depending on the version selected. This is complemented by a gasket in the case and a layer of cotton fabric to reduce extraneous noise when typing.
Price and affordability
Although Keychron has detailed the impressive specs of the Q5 HE, information on the device’s price and availability has not yet been revealed.
