IFA 2025: Roborock unveils the world’s first robotic lawnmowers

Roborock is widely recognized for its line of robotic vacuums, which includes everything from the premium Qrevo Curv to the innovative Saros Z70 with a robotic wild arm. The new Qrevo Curv 2 was unveiled at IFA 2025, and while it looks like another great product from the brand, the focus has been on three robotic lawnmowers. These three “machines” mark the company’s first step into the world of robotic lawn care. And a lot of people should like these new products.

RockMow Z1 —s most powerful yet, built to handle slopes of up to 80% and overcome obstacles up to 6cm high. The ability to tackle slopes of this level is virtually unprecedented. What’s even more appealing is the so-called Active Steering System. In short, it has independent steering on each front wheel, allowing it to turn on steep climbs without losing traction. It also won’t crash into anything when making tight turns, ensuring that it never damages sensitive areas.

If you add RTK and VSLAM technologies for navigation and obstacle avoidance, a series of blades that cut lawns within 3 cm of walls, and the ability to handle up to 5,000 square meters per day, this robotic lawnmower is a leader in the premium lawn mower category. It can also cut custom patterns and text on your property, giving you unlimited decorating possibilities. More importantly, the same feature can be used to program different cutting styles in different areas of your yard. Do you have an area where the grass grows much faster than the rest of the yard? That’s no problem for a robot.

The RockMow S1 is a little simpler than the RockMow Z1. It can negotiate slopes up to 45% and handle up to 2,000 square meters per day. It still features an RTK and VSLAM navigation system. Rounding out this trio at IFA 2025 is the RockNeo Q1, which is expected to offer many of the above features, but in a more affordable package.
