Huawei has begun selling the Watch Ultimate Design Royal Gold in Europe, expanding its lineup of premium smartwatches outside of China. The model was first unveiled in late 2025 and later confirmed a global launch. It now joins the existing Watch Ultimate Design variant in black and gold.
Design and materials
Watch Ultimate Design Royal Gold stands out with a purple and gold color scheme. The case is made of zirconia liquid metal, a material that Huawei says is highly durable while resisting corrosion and wear and tear. The hollow design of the case helps reduce the overall weight despite the use of premium materials. The ceramic bezel includes 18K and 24K gold accents, while the crown is plated in 18K gold. The dial is protected by sapphire crystal. The watch comes with a purple and gold-tone titanium alloy strap designed to last.

Screen and connectivity features
The smartwatch features a 1.5-inch LTPO AMOLED display with high brightness for outdoor visibility. They support eSIM, allowing you to make and receive calls directly from the watch without a phone. AI noise cancellation is built in to improve call quality. Intelligent gesture control lets you answer calls, control apps, or remotely trigger the camera with hand movements.

Health & Sports
Health tracking is one of the main focuses. The Watch Ultimate Design Royal Gold includes Huawei’s Health Glance feature, which generates a summary of 10 key health indicators in about 60 seconds. These include heart rate, blood oxygen, stress levels and other key indicators. The watch also supports GPS navigation, local music storage and activity tracking for sports such as running, cycling and golf.

Extreme Use
For extreme conditions, the smartwatch is rated for diving to depths of up to 150 meters. They include a built-in sonar-based underwater communication feature that allows divers to send simple messages underwater. Battery life varies depending on usage, with advanced options for outdoor activities and diving.

Huawei Watch Ultimate Design Royal Gold is available in countries such as Spain, France and Germany, priced at €3,299 via Huawei’s online store. A UK launch is expected in the coming weeks, with an announced price of £2,999.99.
