Huawei ranks in the top 3 of the global smartwatch vendor rankings

Analytics company Canalys has published a report on smart watch sales for the first quarter of 2024. Interesting numbers: Huawei confirmed its leadership in the Chinese market and surpassed Apple in terms of growth rate in the global market.

According to the source, Apple still holds the top spot in global sales with a market share of 18%, but down 12% from last year. In second place is Xiaomi, which increased shipments by 38% and took 15% of the market. Huawei saw the biggest growth — 46% and accounted for 13% of total sales.

Samsung is fourth in the global ranking with a 7% market share and 4% growth. The fifth position is held by Indian brand Noise.

In China, Huawei also leads in sales and growth — both at 38%. Xiaomi posted growth of 22% and 15% respectively. Rounding out the top three is the XTC brand, which delivered 9% of total smartwatch volume.
