The accessory offers natural virtual reality communication and the transmission of non-verbal information through facial expressions. HTC claims that facial tracking can be used to control VR apps. For the tracker to work optimally, the performance of VR apps should be improved with foveate rendering. The face tracker will have a 60Hz refresh rate and two eye cameras to track pupil position and size. Speaking of which, the tracker can be easily attached to the Vive XR Elite with a magnet.
