GoPro has released a new flagship action camera, the HERO 13 Black, as well as a more affordable version of the HERO
By ForGeeks GoPro has added two new action cameras to its range, expanding the possibilities for extreme filmmaking enthusiasts. The flagship HERO13 Black gets a number of improvements over its predecessor, while the new HERO is the most affordable and compact camera in the series.
The HERO13 Black offers a number of new features and enhancements, including:
- A new continuous slow motion burst mode that lets you record impressive footage at 720p / 400 fps, 900p / 360 fps and 5.3K / 120 fps.
- Support for 10-bit video (HLG and HDR) for more realistic and detailed images.
- Advanced audio settings for better sound quality when recording in noisy environments.
- Compatible with ND filters and the new HB series lens set (macro, ultra wide angle and anamorphic – sold separately).
- A larger 1900 mAh battery that provides up to 2.5 hours of continuous recording on a single charge.
For those who don’t need all the frills of the flagship model, GoPro is introducing the HERO, the smallest and most affordable camera in its series. Despite its compact size (the body is 35% smaller than the Hero 13 Black), the HERO offers the following features:
- Recording 4K video at 5.3K resolution with 1080p Live Streaming support.
- Water-resistant up to 5 meters, allowing you to shoot underwater without an additional protective case.
- Up to 100 minutes of recording at maximum resolution or about 155 minutes at 1080p.
The two new action cameras are already available for pre-order in the US. The HERO13 Black is priced from $399 (about 30,000 rubles) and the HERO is priced from $199 (about 15,000 rubles). In Russia, official prices and launch dates have not yet been announced.
