Google introduced the Nest Cam IP camera and Nest Doorbell

After the smart speaker lineup, Google has launched its Nest line of smart devices, introducing the updated Nest Cam Indoor IP cameras and the next-generation Nest Cam Outdoor doorbell. All devices, integrated with the Gemini neural network, provide high-quality night vision and can identify both objects and people’s faces.
Nest Cam Indoor (third generation) is designed for indoor monitoring. The camera provides 1440p video recording at 30fps with a 152° viewing angle. Available features include night vision with extended dynamic range (HDR) thanks to two 850 nm IR illuminators with a range of up to 4.5 meters, as well as a built-in microphone and speaker for two-way communication, and Wi-Fi and Bluetooth wireless connectivity.
Google said the new Nest Cams have a wide 152° diagonal viewing angle, and the Nest doorbell has a 1:1 aspect ratio and 166° diagonal field of view, allowing you to see parcels, wide aisles and visitors in their entirety.
The Gemini’s artificial intelligence recognizes objects and faces, generates reports on recorded events, and enables automated scripting. For example, a command to “turn off the lights on weekday mornings when no one is in the house.” These features are available with a paid subscription.
Nest Cam Outdoor (second generation) also supports Gemini For Home, but is designed for outdoor surveillance. The specifications are similar to Nest Cam Indoor, but the night vision range has been extended to 6.1 meters.
The third-generation Nest Doorbell smart doorbell is also introduced. It features a video camera (2048×2048 pixels, 30 frames per second) with an ultra-wide angle lens (166°), speaker, microphone and infrared illumination. Night vision range up to three meters.
Thanks to Gemini For Home, the device can generate a summary of the day’s events and send the user personalized notifications. For example, “Diana walked by” or “Sergei is walking the dog”. It can create automated scripts and overviews of the day.
The new version of the Nest Cam Indoor is priced at $99 (R$8,070) in the US market, while the Nest Cam Outdoor and Nest Doorbell sell for $149 and $179 (R$12,140 and R$14,590) and respectively.
