Apple gadgets have always been known for their aftermarket value – they hold their value for a long time and are considered a good buy. The new Vision Pro headset, however, seems to be an exception to that rule. In the less than a year since its announcement, the device has dropped significantly in price, including the Russian market.

The Verge journalists have noticed a drop in the price of this gadget. For example, on eBay and Swappa, a headset with 1TB of storage and an AppleCare+ subscription and a case can be purchased for $3200, while on Apple’s official website such a modification costs $5000. Simpler versions of the headset on the secondary market cost about $2600, compared to their original $3900 price tag at launch.

Analogous situation has developed in Russia. At the time of release, the headset could be purchased on Yandex.Market, Wildberries, Ozon, and other sites at prices ranging from 578,000 to 893,999 rubles, and now the new device can be found for 569,990 rubles (256 GB version), while on Avito it is sold for about 250,000 rubles. However, it’s worth remembering that too low a price may indicate an unscrupulous seller.
