Garmin has introduced the eTrex Solar navigator

Garmin has released a new eTrex Solar model with solar charging support. The eTrex Solar can last up to 1,800 hours without recharging, more than two months in Expedition Mode.

The device features a 2.2-inch, high-contrast screen for route and location tracking. The eTrex Solar supports multi-band GNSS for accurate positioning in challenging conditions. The built-in digital compass shows you the exact direction you’re traveling when you’re hiking.

By the way, geocaching enthusiasts can get automatic cache updates when the eTrex Solar is connected to a smartphone. The eTrex Solar is also IPX7 waterproof and ruggedized to withstand bumps and drops.
