CES 2025: Startup Halliday Glasses showed off smart glasses with AI assistant

CES 2025 marked the arrival of a new player in the smart glasses market – Halliday Glasses. The Halliday startup unveiled its flagship model with «proactive» AI assistants and a display that shows information directly in the user’s field of vision. The glasses will be available later in 2025, with shipments scheduled to begin by the end of the first quarter of the year. Pricing for the model will range from $399 to $499, which is significantly more expensive than competitors without a display, such as Meta* Ray-Bans and Solos AirGo Vision.

DigiWindow Miniaturized Display
The main feature of the glasses is the DigiWindow, the world’s smallest and lightest field-of-view display. This display is located in the upper right corner of the frame and allows data to be shown to the user, whether or not they need to wear glasses for vision correction. The screen size is 3.5 inches, and Halliday claims that the display has little to no visibility blockage, remaining visible even in bright sunlight.

AI assistant with proactive features
The glasses feature a built-in AI assistant that can anticipate the user’s needs, analyze conversations, answer questions, and provide additional information without being prompted. For example, in a meeting, AI can automatically answer tough questions, summarize discussions, and generate a meeting outline.

The AI requires a Bluetooth connection to a smartphone, but the company has not yet disclosed which model AI is using or whether there are additional costs for using these features. Among the available features are real-time translation in 40 languages, navigation with turn-by-turn directions, translating voice notes into text, and displaying synchronized song lyrics while listening to music. Users can also view and reply to messages, create voice memos, and display notes like a teleprompter.
Features and controls
DigiWindow works with or without prescription lenses. The information on the screen is not visible to others and can be controlled via voice commands, an interface on the frame, or a ring with a built-in touchpad. This ring allows you to control the glasses, and Halliday promises it’s comfortable to use.

Weight and battery life
The glasses weigh only 35 grams (about 1.2 ounces) and provide up to 8 hours of battery life on a single charge. Halliday offers two colors – matte black and turtle black.
